New Retail Furniture Store (originally designed for Sears Home Life) - The design team provided Architectural, Structural, Mechanical, Electrical and Permitting services relating to the modification of a prototypical design for a two-story, 40,000 sq. ft. retail furniture store on an atypical, angular outlot at the Oakbrook Shopping Center. Abutting the Salt Creek tributary, extensive research and coordination was required to establish and meet the requirements for flood control and wetland management of multiple governmental agencies including DuPage County, The Illinois Environmental Protection Agency and the Army Corps of Engineers in order to cross the tributary to gain access to the outlot. |

Provided full A/E services for multiple projects in the Chicago Metropolitan area including the renovation of an existing drive-up facility at their Aurora branch, the design of a new personal banking platform at their near north Chicago branch and a personal banking expansion at their Downtown Chicago branch.The Aurora project is located in an area of Downtown that is covered by a special Ordinance and was required to go before the Downtown Development Division’s Design Review Committee for review and approval. Working with the Downtown Development Coordinator, the design was approved at the first presentation to the Design Review Committee.
